Will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Core Design team`s LTE EPC roadmap from a design, development and inter-working perspective while assisting in driving programme agility, efficiency and excellence. Your approach will be customer focused and aligned to the commercial goals of the business. You`ll also drive our values in day to day technical and operational decision making.

• The role encompasses all aspects of the development of the future network (design/add, change and/or increase the networks services and resources for capacity, features and functionality). Whilst you`ll act as a point of technical accountability, you will work with functional stakeholders to ensure that the right responsibility levels are established - working to exercise influence without direct authority.

• Provide Support to Ericsson Emergency team in troubleshooting/recovering a major failure on the Network
• Preparing various reports on packet core nodes (Node statistics, Busy hour and 24hr Throughput, Daily outage report, Weekly report, Monthly report, Events report) as required for presentation to the customer.
• Daily routine health checks on SGSN-MME, MPG, DNS Servers (Internet, Internal and External) and SAPC.
• Open Customer Service Request (CSR) and assist Support in CSR troubleshooting
• Provide support to the Ericsson Project team during PCN Node updates and upgrades
• Preparing signaling traces of GPRS interfaces (Gb//Gn//Gi/Gx/Gom, S11, S1-MME, SGS. etc.) for troubleshooting and analysis.
• Troubleshoot KPI degradation across SGSNs/MMEs using Events Based Monitoring (EBM) analysis, Mobility log, Session logs
• Ensure KPIs are within target on all Packet Core Nodes in the network    
• Attend meetings with customer to deliberate on key pressing issues and proffer solution
• Provide prompt feedback to customer on their enquiries       
• Analyze Customers problems using signaling traces of GPRS interfaces (Gb//Gn//Gi/Gx/Gom, S11, S1-MME, SGS. etc.) for troubleshooting and analysis.
• Closure involves talking with management to confirm they are satisfied that normal service has resumed
• Support Ericsson applications on cloud environments

• Good working Knowlegdge of System administration of packet core nodes: SGSN-MME, MPG, DNS Servers (Internet, Internal and External), SAPC, vMME and vSAPC.
• Excellent working knowledge of EPC/IMS/LTE architecture, interfaces and procedures, with understanding of key LTE associated technologies and functionality including IMS, VoLTE and CSFB.
• DSC knowledge will be added advantage
• Good working knowledge of 3G MCC elements and associated interfaces, including key protocols e.g. GTP, DIAMETER, RADIUS, SIGTRAN, MAP etc.
• Good working knowledge of 3GPP standards and architectures.
