Purpose of Job

To plan, perform, and manage the activities of the Laboratory to ensure a good quality control process through the application of a body of knowledge related to Standard Laboratory methods, practices, procedures, policies, regulations, and laboratory materials and equipment.

• Responsible for the safe and efficient running of EHGC operations while on shift and reported to Operations Supervisor.

• Responsible for the recording of daily activities while on shift and ensuring the Operations Supervisor is informed of the status of the plant at any given time.
• Ensures plant parameters are recorded effectively and the records are stored and backed up efficiently.
• Ensures the quality of gas export to customers meets contractual specifications.
• Responsible for all control room operations while on shift and ensuring the plant is operating within the safe operating envelope.
• Revalidation of PTW while on shift.
• Maintain and manage the company’s PRMS database.
• Ensure that equipment/devices are functioning properly and report/log in all malfunctioning equipment/devices in the fault register.
• Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance activities on all the process equipment and documenting accordingly.
• Ensuring updated records are kept of all and for all corrective and preventive maintenance done on all process equipment and documented accordingly.
• Review job procedures with Operations Supervisor from manufacturer’s operating manual to suit our operation.
• Ensures operations reports are done in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responsible for first-line maintenance activities of all valves.
• Supervise and oversee work done by subordinates on and off shift.
• Responsible for all housekeeping within the company’s PRMS and its surroundings including piping and vessels
• Ensure fault register and by-pass logbook are updated.
• Ensures custody transfer meter is functional and accurate within the acceptable range.
• Coach and train subordinates and monitor training requirement compliance.
• Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.

• Must have a good University degree or Higher National Diploma in engineering plus relevant qualification and background with at least 2-3 years experience in oil/gas E&P operations facilities.
• Two years as a senior operator.
• Must be able to develop written procedures for the O&M of all components used in the gas processing facility.
• Must be highly conversant with PTW System.
• Must be certified in First Aid, Pressure Control, and the relevant company certification requirement.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and experience in a multi-cultural environment.
• Must have an analytical mind and the ability to plan, execute, measure, and review feedback.
• Must have a high degree of technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, innovation, and a proven self-starter capable of motivating people with a good safety record.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under duress and in emergency situations.
• Must be computer literate with experience working with Microsoft Office packages.
