To perform highly skilled preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems to guarantee asset integrity and safe operation of Oil and Gas production facilities

• Adhering to Company’s QHSSEC policies, procedures and practices including maintaining good housekeeping within the plant areas always and participating in monthly QHSSEC and daily toolbox meetings.
• Maintaining full awareness of the emergency procedures to be capable of immediately assuring the appropriate responsibilities in the event of an emergency.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits/panels, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
• Studies plans, drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
• Reads and understand equipment data sheet for the purpose of extracting information for spares/materials requisitions.
• Transfers primary power from one power source to another.
• Installs conductors, splices cable, builds terminations and does necessary hook-up for primary power lines
• May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.

• BSc / HND in Electrical Engineering
•  At least three (3) years cognate experience in Oil and Gas onshore/offshore Production facility.
• Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Must be a motivated self-starter who possesses high numeracy skills and ability to work unsupervised.
• Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Windows office suite of software.
• Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.
